The Parcel Audit Assistant is responsible for the general processing of carrier claims on behalf of our customers as assigned. This includes both filing claims and performing the transaction in the system, as well as conducting any research necessary to file such claims. This position regularly assists the account managers with weekly assigned tasks as well as special requests for overall account maintenance.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


n

  • n
  • Files and follows up on standard carrier claims using applicable methodology prioritizing for time sensitivity.

  • n
  • Manages incoming and outgoing mail/email correspondence for claims processing, follow up, and research.

  • n
  • Scans and post incoming checks.

  • n
  • Runs system queries or uses other necessary resources for job assignments and research, data gathering and other analysis.

  • n
  • Manages assigned audit program and office responsibilities including, but not limited to, maintaining client information on service disruptions, holidays, fuel, credit memos and similar tasks.

  • n
  • Supports application of contracts including formatting and loading of files and discounts.

  • n
  • Operates a motor vehicle to deliver/pick-up mail from local post office including loading and unloading vehicle as required for delivery/pick-up of mail.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


n

  • n
  • Ability to prioritize job assignments including requests from multiple auditors.

  • n
  • Ability to utilize customized and purchased computer applications to complete job tasks and for job communications.

  • n
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel.

  • n
  • Professional telephone and email etiquette.

  • n
  • Prioritize and reprioritize all claims for maximum efficiency.

  • n
  • Critical thinking skills for problem solving, analysis, and decision making.

  • n
  • Task-driven with exemplary organizational skills.

  • n
  • Must possess a valid driver&s;s license, appropriate automobile insurance and a good driving record.

  • n
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

  • n
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • n
  • Minimum 1 year of customer relations experience in a technical service environment.

Salary:
Flexibleper hourEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
